Continental land from 560 million years ago to the present uses the dedicated ContinentalPolygons layer of the EarthByte CAO2024 plate model (Cao et al., 2024), with smooth visual blends between dated frames. It does not reconstruct modern coastlines backward. Geography older than 560 million years is an artistic reconstruction and grows increasingly uncertain with age. Population figures before the last few thousand years are order-of-magnitude estimates.
